New Zealand Southern Alps
New Zealand is where my journey as a paraglider began, and the Southern Alps have become my second home. Over the past decade, I've spent thousands of hours flying these mountains, exploring valleys, glaciers, and alpine basins in a way that few people ever have.
Paragliding offers a unique perspective on this landscape. While many of these places take days to reach on foot, or remain rarely visited at all, free flight has allowed me to travel through vast areas of the Southern Alps using nothing but wind and weather. Year after year, I've built an intimate understanding of these mountains, following weather systems, discovering new routes, and experiencing parts of the country that are inaccessible by almost any other means.
My Garmin Inreach tracking data, each point represents 10 minutes of flight.
The films on this page capture a collection of those adventures. Some are single day flights, others are multi day expeditions, but all are driven by the same curiosity to explore one of the most spectacular mountain ranges on Earth.
For me, New Zealand is more than a place to fly. It is where I learned that a paraglider is not simply a way to get airborne, but one of the most powerful tools for exploration ever created.
